To Heaven in Song

Why must you try to silence my good faith? See, the world is your enemy, not God. Does not this world seem a little too fake? It's temptations that steal, does it seem odd? In the end, I'm your friend, please remember So, why lash out at me, when I spread truth? While the world's heart is cold, like December A thief in the night, stealing toward youth. It tries to trap me, though I won't be changed No, none but Christ can truly win my heart. Lash out, if you must, my purpose not feigned God will still win, as was wrote from the start. With the world at my back, I will move on To a greater realm, to Heaven in song!
