To the Heavens

You shine in the abyss,

A beckoning brightness beaming

Forth with advice and encouragement.

You pull me aside after class

And softly, subtly, smilingly

Encourage me to seek an accelerated Master's.

You recognize the unrealized potential within

Me, a shining shimmering success

That could be unleashed for all to witness.

Your guidance bolsters me: I am a

Bright, burning, blinding, streak

Rattling towards the heavens.
