Heavy Chains

I had heavy chains that held me bound - I believed there was no way out of my mess. The devil had messed with my mind to the point I nearly forgot who I am and whose I am. I was losing the battle to my own thoughts the devil had got me to believe about myself. My view was so clouded by all the lies - by my bondage, by my heavy chains keeping me down. No matter how much I fought I was losing myself day by day. When I couldn't keep on any longer, Christ broke through and picked me up. He broke these heavy chains and took my bondage that once held me down. He pursued me when I thought I wasn't worthy enough or didn't have anything worthy enough to think I should be pursued. He died on the cross for me so that I may have life; that I may walk in freedom knowing that my past no longer has a foot hold on my life. The bondage that I once had is now gone because of Jesus; the heavy chains that once held me down are broken because of what Jesus did and what he went through to save me from the wrath of God. I am a living testimony of what God has done in my life; how God has changed my life for the better. If God can transform my life; I know without a doubt that He can and will transform your life as well!! Philippians 1:6~"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."

Just tryna' write poetry that always glorifies God and who He is, what he has done for me, and what He can and will do for you! If God can transform my life, I know without a doubt he can transform yours too! You are NEVER too far gone, or broken for God! Come to Jesus just as you are and give your life to him and watch the change happen when you turn to Jesus and live for Him!! Being a Christian is never easy, just as life isn't easy, but our only hope is in Jesus Christ the one and only!!
