Heavy Seas

Do I condemn them- another to fate as mine,

trapped on forgotten ground, as the waves wrap themselves,

against the dried out pieces of the burning under city dirt.

Nothing to hear my cries, but the empty sea that reflects my soul,

holding a heavy heart.

Trapped in solitude of nothing.

The silence would be more deafening than starving for simple pieces of bread,

the need, the desire for music.

To be encased with nothing,

but the sounds of waves would drive the deepest desire,

composing.

Lend me a flute or an ocarina, only then would I sing with Poseidon,

dancing waves, intertwined with the air- to my music.

My soul would be less heavy, unlike the overpowering vastness of the ocean.
