Heels

From converse to heels

That's when I knew

That maybe, just maybe

I'm older… that's new!

I'm learning to walk in a much different way

Trying not to stumble, nor sway.

It was time to face it

Maybe I've not only grown temporarily by three inches

But maybe, just maybe

I've grown a little on the inside too…
