Held Down
Held down by force
The force of fear,
Past memories crawl back
to haunt, torment
It hangs itself above your head
Attached, reminding you
how bad you had it.
Slithering down your spine,
Tasting every bone in your body
Savoring your every sweat and tear
feeding on you pain
Laughing at your mistakes
Mocking your very existence
Like an atheist to God
No more stories
Proof, Proof.
