Helicopter
There's been a helicopter flying around my house for the past hour.
No voices from scratchy microphones.
Four blades
Spinning quickly
Keeping the machine afloat
Amidst the stars lighting the sleeping earth below.
Away it soars
Silence again
Boots walking
Bushes rustling
Nothing but stars shining
Against a blackened sky
You come along into my mind
Knocking on the door to my heart
Locked
Echoes
No one is home.
There's nothing here for you...
