Hello
Hello
A word of greeting
A word that can bring new people into your life
Hello to the boy walking in the door
The boy that I’ve known my whole life
Hello to the boy that sits next to me in English
Who cracks jokes at everything
And can barely stop smiling
Hello to the boy who asked my friend for my phone number
Because he was too nervous to do it himself
Hello to the boy who has liked me since second grade
The boy who I have never noticed until now
Hello Weston
The boy who came over to my house
And lost playing video games
The boy who had to kiss me
Because we made a bet on who would win
Hello to the boy who asked me out
With a sharpie note written on a baseball
Hello to the boy I can talk to about anything
the boy with the curly hair and pretty eyes
Whose laugh I have learned quickly
And whose smile has begun to wear off on me
Hello to the boy who treats me like I’m human
And who smells of pine
Hello Weston
The boy who gave me his jacket at a soccer game
And held my hand in the hallway
Hello to the boy that took me to his aunt’s work to hang out
And who’s mom would trust me to make sure he stays alive
Hello to the boy who held me longer than anyone else
Arms tight around my wait
Breath hot down my neck
And smile pressed into my skin
Hello to the boy who
stomped
scratched
and scrambled his way into my heart
Hello to the first boy to tell me I was beautiful
Who wanted to be with me more than anything
To the boy who texted me every night
Until our eyes felt like stones
Hello to the boy who took me out to the lake
And it started snowing
The boy who would drive the long way home
Just to spend more time with me
Hello to the boy who I loved
And the boy who told me he loved me back
Hello Weston
The boy who made butterflies swarm my stomach and my whole body feel warm with just one touch
Hello to the boy who I would do anything for
And the boy that would do anything to me
Hello to the boy who cared for me
And showed me that I was just as good as any other girl
Hello to the boy who promised he’d never hurt me
Who said that I was his one and only
Hello to the boy who lied
