Hello and then Goodbye
It's hard to hold it all back with so many goodbyes.
First comes the new faces,
then the hellos come, then it's sitting at lunch with them.
And soon enough, you're laughing and sharing food.
Holding hands, hugs, and special moments with that one kiss.
Sharing families, going to cookouts.
Sharing secrets, going to parties.
They're all the best of memories.
But the best memories, are the ones that last.
Whether it's a new job, a promtion, or just in need of a change,
it is yet another goodbye.
The day your door closes, is the day you open your window.
You have the choice to jump out of that window,
climb out, run out, dive out, simply step out,
or just stand there, looking out.
But once your feet hit that ground, it's a goodbye to the window.
everywhere you turn, there is a goodbye on the otherside of that hello.
Hellos, goodbyes, they're all just words in life.
But the actions you show when you say
those words, are the meaning of life.
