Hello are you still there

Dear inner conscience, I see you growing weary  I see you beginning to stop functioning But what I don't see is you actually fighting tryingwanting to keep going. What happened to the old you?The strong you The you we all knew Did you think it was easy?Did you think it would only be fun? Life ain't no yellow brick OZ road that onlyyou can go and come back home. This life you have to stay awake at all times and look every way so you don't end up with a nine in your spine. This world you have to keep your hands up and keep saying " Don't shoot" This world is only getting darker and darkerThis world is losing The Dream of MLK The marches on Selma The " Si Se Puede " in all of us. So I do understand if you grow weary butplease stand with me again so we can see the light one more time. And I promise you once you do you will never lose the flame again. It will only take one thing  For you to wake up Get back up and say " It could be worse if let it."  Talk to you again ,  Your buddy  Heart
