Hello Beautiful Stranger

Hello Beautiful Stranger

I saw you again.

And it felt like we were a thousand stars apart.

Your eyes hold this delicate sadness,

I feel like a wandering stranger, back at the start.

Sometimes I feel

I’m lucky to know you

But your eyes glaze over my image

Like my presence is so new

I always thought it was strange

How innocent love never lasts

Like a phoenix screaming

As it drowns under its ash
