Hello Friend

Your hands are stained with paint and tears

they mix well together

flowing over lips and teeth

soil rests beneath your fingers

The press of your palms is the press of words on paper

And your knuckles beat the clay into something

Something better if not beautiful

A lallywiggly bizzywimple skinnyfizz nillawilly nannyfinch (or so you call it)

Something no one has ever seen before

Covered with your fingerprints

Could it be anything else but you?
