Hello, Goodbye

Hello, goodbye
People here and
People there
I mean, really,
They're new and
They're gone
Blink your eye
And you just might
Miss them go by
Friendships fade
They grow and
They strengthen
Perhaps in odd places
Chance meetings
Hearts clinging
Not knowing
Anything else
Please, stay awhile
I like you
Don't go
I mean, really,
You're here and
You're gone
Hello, goodbye
