Hello Silence

Screaming in the Red Silence

I fill my empty skull with reverberations

Animalistic claws of sound

Leave bloody trails along the broken synapses

Wounds left open for far too long

Fester in the putrid tranquility

Screaming in the Silence

A singular cry stands alone amidst

Sparse craters of lucid humanity

Information comes and goes

A muddy flow, sluggish insanity

The scars it tracks remain

Pockmarked mind

A geode cracked and gutted

Oblivion is all I see

I search for some of the landscape that used to stand firm

A faint glimmer, a shadowy outline in the desolate haze

Red fog

Red earth

An alien world

No longer my mere mind

I scream at it

It screams back

Echoes shatter the night
