A frown goes deep to her heart A tiny seed of hate takes apart The beautiful love there before The darkness grows more and more Jesus knocks, but she shuts the door The Savior keeps knocking She keeps refusing She says she’s fine alone The darkness takes everything for its own Jesus knocks, but she won’t open the door She bites her lip as it takes over There is nowhere to take cover She peeks out from her dismal surroundings Jesus pleads with her to let him in He asks, but she shuts the door Finally she cries out and flings wide the door Jesus comes in as her tears begin to pour He holds her close and comforts her She’s so glad she could finally surrender When Jesus knocked, she opened the door Jesus fights the darkness and hate He gets rid of the heavy weight Her heart is free from her sin Once she relented and let Jesus in When Jesus knocks, will you open the door?
