Help Haiti
Somebody help!
Help Haiti!!!
Poor Haiti!!!
Helpless Haiti!!!
There are people out in the streets
Children no food to eat
Fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers
Outstretch in the hot sun.
Faces of dead loved ones covered with white sheets
Bodies on top of bodies
Hands, arms, legs, feet.
As one into each other run
The streets for miles
Aligned with decaying corps
Like an on going death parade.
Homes toppled low
No place to go
Loved ones
For Victims
Desperately concerned
Death toll increases
Another soul confirmed.
People run in their houses
To get what they can save
Only to see their homes
Like cardboard boxes
Carried away by the second
Wave.
Bodies mangled
Toppled and trapped beneath a tomb of debris
A girls hand I grab hold
And pull
To set free.
Angry
Riots in the street
Stomachs hungry
Too great a number
For World Aid to meet.
A mother in early labor
To a premature baby gives birth
On the day
A city shook
Under a century old voodoo curse.
Somebody help!!!
Help Haiti!!!
Poor Haiti!!!
Helpless Haiti!!!
