Help Me

Help me
On the outside I’m a high school senior

But on the inside I’m a soldier fighting my own thoughts
I feel like I'm going insane
All these responsibilities that I am almost required to do if I want to be successful and go to college or even to graduate
But you’re part of my problems too
You you’re holding me back
Always telling me things that I don't need to hear
Always making me overthink things
Drowning me in my own tears
Writing my nightmares

You have me at gunpoint
You only come around when I'm alone
Alone,

ALONE: having no one else present; on one's own
You come around when there are no witnesses
WITNESSES to witness my sanity slowly slipping away from me
I used to be able to handle you but now I am growing weaker.....weaker WEAKER to the point where I can barely spe-.....

I keep screaming for help but everytime I open my mouth nothing ever comes out

You have me on lockdown
No don't talk it will twist your words and turn them into something terrifying
Something

SOMETHING that it's told you before just different words in the place of the old ones
Get out of my head

How did you get in my head?

I never opened the door for you

You cheated me

You took over my thoughts

You control me now
You’re suffocating me
Help me please I'm going crazy
Look in my eyes see my pain
Look at my hair watch it fall to the floor
Look at my hands watch them shake
You only come when I'm alone
ALONE: having no one else present; on one's own
You come around when there are no witnesses
Get out of my head
You do no good here all you do is hurt me and those around me
Please move on

I’m tired of fighting you everyday

I just want to be free

Free from you

Free from me

Free from everything

Help me please I think I’m going crazy

I don’t want to go crazy I just want to be normal

Get out of my head

You have me at gunpoint,

on lockdown,

you are holding me back,

Just,

Let,

Me,

Go.
