Help me...I'm Crying

Step, Step, Step

Down the drive I go

 Step, Step, Step

Walking in darkness

Blackness of night

Surrounding, clouding

My thoughts.

Surrounded by houses

I am

Surrounded by people

Am I.

Yet somehow

I feel all

Alone.

Conversation starts

When I stop

But my thoughts

Don’t stop.

I don’t know

What I say

My mind is taking over.

I go through the day

Pretending.

Pretending to be

Someone.

The person who

I was before the person who

Has faded

 The person who

Got choked

The person who

No longer feels.

No one notices

No one senses

That a battle

Is right in front

Of their unseeing eyes.

Some days I don’t pretend

I got tired of pretending

And lie

Saying that I am tired.

But that is my true being

For now.

Yet

No one notices

No one sees

With their unseeing eyes.

The day goes by

I hardly notice

For it is just another day.

In this pit

In this oblivion

That I have

Placed myself in.

When it happened

???

No answer.

Why it happened

???

No answer.

Home I

Pretend

Pretend even

Harder.

Night returns

I feel truly

Alone

Black surrounds

My cloud, my being.

This is when I

Break.

This is when my

Tears

F

A

L

L.

This is when I

Wait.

Wait for help.

Wait for change.

Wait. Wait. Wait.

I am tired.

Tired of waiting.

I am crying.

Tired of crying.

I am not right.

Tired of not being

Me.

I am….

            I need….

Help.
