Helping Others: All I Would Need in Life
All I need in life is a chance to save a life.
The wondrous feeling to know that I can help,
The small babies nearby who cannot help themselves.
The thought to give them life and take away their pain,
So that they can see the sunrise and sunset time and time again.
The feeling to know that they are loved; Even when they were shoved away.
To know that I can better them with bright hugs and smiles every day.
Although I know that some will perish and won’t be able to stay,
The thought that I tried would give me pride and help me on my way.
Small babies, helpless and alone will cry no longer.
I will be the one to save them; I will be their doctor.
To help their small hearts I will use both science and care.
To make sure that they always know, my own heart will also be theirs.
Health and care I will give out, asking for nothing in return.
The thought itself is what I want to make these children heard.
My acts will be their voice right now that they are small and frail,
But maybe in their future they will soon prevail.
To give care and love to all they meet, like I had given to them,
To make the world a better place by spreading love, the gem.
Neonatal cardiologist is what I want to be;
To help others is all I would ever need.
