Helpless

To struggle and to learn

People despised life as hatred

Yet lonely

Coming home scared and terrified

Wanting to run away from life

The road up ahead is scary

With no shoes to want

No jacket to wear

The value of life is conquered

No secrets

No pain

He hits her with fear

Tears fall like droplets

That smile is turned upside

Bearing the hurt her innocent love gives

Bearing the hunger she hasn't had for weeks

Her lifeless body gives no hope

She asked herself

" Is this worth it?"

As she took her last breath

Her fears traveled the pain

All around her body

She is helpless
