'The Helpless Escape of the Past'

Trapped. Scared. Confused.

It's what someone feels.

You may know these feelings.

Ever feel them all at once?

When something bad happens to you, can you let someone help?

You are strong, but sometimes strong just isn't enough.

Cry. Shake. Fear.

That feeling like no one can hear.

Hear your plea for help.

Someone is always there really.

You just have to let them in, let them be there for you.

What if that person can't help you like you need them to?

Lost. Helpless. Scream.

They don't know how to help you.

You can't even help yourself.

They tried, but nothing worked.

No matter what you will always have hurt.

Maybe you need to except that and move on with life.

Tremble. Reach. Try.

No matter what, the bad things happen and no one can help.

It's a scar on your life.

It will haunt you all your life.

Nothing can change the past you lived.

The future is the result of what your past did to you, its up to you in how let your past get you.

(The picture that goes with this; I asked a friend to draw it for me, I descirbed what it had to look like.)

I found that poetry is the one and only way to fully get out what's stuck in my mind/ heart. A dear friend of mine encouraged me to write poetry and ever since then, I've written these poems. In less then a year, my poems have become well liked amongst friends and family. The first 15 I posted are the first 15 I did in a year's time. I write for me, and for other people who want to read them. If you don't like what I write, then don't be hateful. Only be critical.
