Helpless mind

I’m standing on the edge of a cliff Facing the unknown Deciding whether or not to say The fall is truly home. Those of you that stand and judge And tell me that I’m wrong Then have never truly really felt What’s it’s like to stand alone To hear the voices in your head And face their unnerving wrath You can never truly escape the sound When they go startling mad You see the blade cut your skin And smell the musk of blood But all you feel is sweet relief As if sent from above Is this the life you chose for me? Is this just it? To live in such a dark hell Somewhere in a deep abyss? Why is all I can question What did I ever do Sometimes life isn’t what we did It’s what we must go through Take a step back Ignore the voices They’re wrong. They are wrong You are not unworthy Stop! Don’t give in But the voices say they’re right How can you truly win a battle that’s in the mind They say I’m sick Is that just it? A disease in my mind What if the whole world is wrong And I’m the only one that is right.
