Her

Liar

Called you that a million times,

Believed it only half the time.

Time

That’s what I wanted to give you,

All I had, every second.

Little did I know,

You were giving yours to somebody else

Saw all the signs

Still didn’t want to believe

That someone who was my world

Had another other than me

How could you lie?

How could you cheat?

How could you deceive?

Say “I love you” to my face

Then go behind and shatter that piece by piece

Pieces

That’s what my heart is in

Tiny, sharp pieces

That you took the time to carve out

Why didn’t you leave?

 Since I wasn’t enough

Was that too much?

What did I do?

Did I care too much?

Did I love you too much?

Love

That’s what clouded everything

Made everything a blur

Made me believe there was an “Us”

And made me forget about “Her”
