HER

She leaves her trust in the drugs

Snorts cocaine

Says its relieves her pain

Blows on that Mary Jane

It keeps her sane

Sex addict

swear it keeps the dark thoughts out of her brain

Keep popping these pills

until she feels numb

yeah she’s young

but depression didn’t care about her age

Living in darkest

so constantly afraid

that she’ll never see the light

constantly putting up a fight

hoping that the drugs will cause some endorphins

So she could be happy for a small period of time

But her only way to happiness

is considered a crime

Its her fatal attraction

She doesn’t want to continue

planning to stop

but never put it into action

this addiction

killing her slowly

but she doesn't care

she was told she has nothing to live for

and she believes them

I try to remind her they only want to see her bleeding

Not succeeding

Trying my hardest to keep her alive

but she asks me to stop the constant pleading

I can’t

I can’t

Not when so many people have already given up on her

I will not be another

I can not replace the love you need from your mother

But I can give you all the love that I have

I don’t want to complete you

I don’t want to be your better half

I just want to see you get better

You just got to persevere through bad weather

There won’t always be a rainbow at the end of the storm

but the sun will fade into the horizon

and the moon will rise

You are my moon

What lights up my dark skies

you’re her
