Her


Her

 

        I remember the succulent aroma of peppermint leaves that clung to her.

        I remember her skin that was sprinkled in elaborate patterns of freckles.

        I remember how her gentle touch could soothe one’s aches.

        I remember her hair that was flour dusted from age.

       

        I wish that I could inhale her mesmerizing scent just one last time.

        I wish that I could trail my finger along the dots that painted her skin.

        I wish that her touch could rejuvenate me once more.

        I wish for her.
