Her
When she’s cold, he gives her warmth
When she’s sad, he holds her
When she’s happy, he enjoys it
When she feels beautiful, he embraces it.
But the truth is. She has no idea how to do these things by herself.
How to be happy
How to feel beautiful
Her mind is a ruthless space filled with lies
Rumors made by
Anxiety
Depression
Trauma
She has no idea about the value of her life.
The truth is
She puts everyone else before herself
Before her feelings
Before her morals
She doesn’t know self-worth
In the end, she feels as if she is nothing
She doesn’t know how to accept the love of a boy who would give his life for her.
She doesn’t realize that a few people do care
She is so used to being used that she doesn’t understand what it is like to be cared for
She wants to know
Oh how she begs and pleads with herself every night to just
“Open up’
“Just accept it’
She thinks to herself “why is it so hard for me to realize, that I am worthy”
She wants a future with this boy
So badly
But how can she when she doesn’t understand what it feels like to be loved?
But she doesn’t understand
She’s tried to understand for so long
So the bullies say:
“No one cares”
“No one notices you’re even there”
“You are nothing”
Her own bullies are only herself
So
She’s given up most of her hope
Because she’s lost to the voices in the back of her head
