Her

Your dark brown hair

It’s waves and curls amuse me

Just your presence… No!

Just the very sight of you

Even merely in a photo sends butterflies to my stomach

Like thousands of monarchs migrating south

Your the first girl in eons

It may seem to make me feel like now

All my pain… Gone. The longing for her still there

Yet suppressed

The feelings you give me make me vulnerable

Like a stray lamp being ambushed by a pack of wolves

A sudden urge of protection rushes in me

I can’t help but want you

With every fiber of my very soul

Just to hold you I would give everything

Just to see you smile I would lay out my life

Like the soldiers of our past

But in the end you want a friend

Yet I am gonna have you even if it takes me

To spend my very last breath
