"For Her"

You don't like the sound of rap, i know, this is ironic. So since i'm white, and I'd sound like crap, I won't use ebonics. I'll find a way to convert you though, knowing me. For now I'll just load your eyeballs or eardrums with poetry. I am known to be abstract like Picasso in my depictions. I might even overdo it like Hawthorne in my descriptions. But here is where my poem for you takes a turn. It might get mushy "Like a Red, Red Rose" by Robert Burns. My love burns like the campfire we first held hands by With you as the fuel and God's will as the campsite. You like reading, I rarely finish a book, but i hope this poem is worth your while. You like coffee, I prefer chocolate milk, and I could barely jog with you for a mile. But our brains work the same and our hearts beat to one rhythm. God wants us together for now if we walk in Him. I would compare you to a burnt marshmallow, not in color or shape, but figuratively. Your quiet outer shell was not to the taste of most guys, but it never inhibited me. I get to enjoy the warm sweetness underneath the shell and the combination of the inside and outside now, Which only I seem to find fantastic, and that's cool with me, like a burnt marshmallow in my mouth. Our relationship is like a song with our actions being the lyrics. God is the master artist who desires for our peers to hear it. I am the beat to guide the enchanting melody, you, potential future wife. Viewers don't be hating, that's the point of dating! we'll just see if our song is the best mix in the jam session of life.
