Her (Art)

They called her art,

for she made music from the

chords of her tangled heartstrings and

mosaics from the shards of her shattered soul.

They called her art because she never

fit in anywhere else but

everyone was searching fro a sound

they hadn't heard before so

they claimed they knew her,

they needed to know her.

They called her art becasue

while they all took their hearts

and stashed them into drawers,

she took the world into hers

and sent it out through thr blood

she poured onto her canvas

to create a kaleidoscope

of her next heartbeat.

But in society claiming they knew her

she was claimed by soiciety,

and her blood ran dry and her heart turned to dust

and she had given every piece of herself to them

so they could keep their hearts hidden

and still feel love.
