Her Bridegroom's Call

Bride's veil concealing beauty -

White mist unfolding light,

Groom's heart in restless longing -

Rays to pierce mist to bright.

She yearning herself to give -

A garden sacred locked.

He to hold her heart in his -

His love the key long sought.

Hers the shaking, clinging hand -

Close on the brink lies unknown.

His hers meets - comforting hand -

His arms to carry her home.

She a rose - shy, timid blooming,

To her bridegroom's gentle longing.

He a fire - quenchless burning,

To find her lips to his belonging.
