Her Eyes

One day they might be a turbulent sea
Wisps of passionate blouse and foamy greens
Swirling, raging, trying to capture me
Tumultuous waters only I’ve seen

Or they could be sad, fragile, and alone
Life a suffering sky threatening rain
If you did not look you would not have known
The milky, fulgent color that means pain

I love when they are a meadow in spring
Efflorescing in the sun’s warm glows
Life’s kaleidoscope is captivating
A heavenly place where everything grows

Secrets are kept in those alluring eyes
They reveal the truth through all of her lies
