Her Eyes

Her gazelle eyes,

Lowered,

Are as thoughtful as

The darkest of nights,

Deep as the limitless Space;

They must not lose their sparkle,

They should not grow weary,

They cannot be full of sleep

Over the ruthless

Passage of time.
