Her Forbidden Love
She knows its not right
She knows it could never work
She knows the root cause of this dilemma
Is in the roots of herself, her family
Even in knowing all of these
She still can't fight her feelings
She loves him
He is her best friend
She knows these feelings are returned
But her heart is torn by the thoughts in her head
She dreads the day
When he decides to confront her with his feelings
But she still can't stop her feelings
She tries not to look into his eyes for long
Because she knows that if she does
Her heart will raise that white flag high
And she will be caught in a war with herself
But she looks into his eyes
Mindful of the time
And sees how much he cares about her
And she looks away
Hoping the shame she feels does not show
In the end someone will get hurt
And she dreads the thought of who it might be
Her forbidden love
