Her Hands

Her soft and beautiful little hands

Left crossed neatly over right

A black hair tie on her right wrist to be used later to pull back her long ginger hair strands

The daisies with pure white petals and with a center that’s yellow and bright

Remain positioned perfectly in her left hand among cold, hard stones

Her left palm holds more rocks than flowers

Yet a balance of both delicateness and sturdiness between these two objects are shown

The boring, gray rocks give the otherwise picture perfect scene a feeling that’s dour

While the daisies bring a presence of pure happiness and joy

Sometimes in life we encounter events or people that are optimistic and gorgeous, like the daisies in her hand

But other times we aren’t so lucky and run into events that are hard and unpromising, or people who are pessimistic, rude, and whose sole purpose is to annoy

Her hand alone would be bland, but with just a few of Mother Nature’s gifts, it can be something that’s most grand
