Her & I

We were worlds apart

She lived and breathed light

Her touch was warm, her body ever luminescent

But I could never tell her

There never was nor will there ever be the right words

I was always there; a constant and steady shoulder

And she the same

When I was broken, her laughter made me whole

When I wept her smile reassured me

Her lips sculpted perfect comforts, only she could coax my demons away

She made life worth living

This mad, wonderful woman gave me a dream to chase

A hope to hold onto

A soul to love
