Her Mistake

I can see it in her eyes

When I look at her face

That she looks at me with disgust

'Cause I am her mistake

Since my birth was unplanned

I am considered an "oopsie" baby

You struggled to get by

You took care of me daily

Being a single mother stressed her

I could tell by her grey hair

Her life wasn't supposed to be like this

I knew that I made her lfe unfair

I know she regret having me

Since I brought her so much pain

'Cause she had me at an early age

Her life wouldn't ever be the same

You woudn't even be able to go out

Or maybe have some "me time"

You wouldn't be able to go shopping

Or watch tv and sip some wine

I know I'm such a burden on her

And that I make her so unhappy

That I broke your heart and brought you tears

Her life would be better without me

People tell me that I am her blessing

But I feel like I am her mistake

Others try to tell me otherwise

But these words I can't take
