Her Now Flawless Self

It all started when she was little
A small, shy quiet different isolated fragile and even brittle little girl that really didn't like food
The pickiest eating child any parent could have
It was soda, juice juice, soda, she loved it
Her and her microscopic mind saw this perfectly fine because food was not so magnificent in her as it was to everyone else Her mama's concerns turned into actions and those actions were vitamins

As time changed, she changed

Those vitamins started kicking in
Her diet was basically still the same only a tiny bit of meat every now and then
But those bones your were able to see on her
You couldn't see anymore
She was getting bigger
Her
Her soon to be flaw

As time changed , she changed

Mama started buying her clothes a little too big
Not paying attention to the size of her clothes
But only imprinted in her mind that she was just big, her flaw,
But really
She wasn't

As time changed, she changed

She started getting bigger than everyone in her class in
Height (flaw)
Weight (another flaw)
At the time it didn't bother her because no one seemed to realize it

Then the people changed

Kids joking around
"You're big"
Her flaw she noticed
"You're tall"
Another she noticed
But you know what
In those jokes
There is truth
Their thoughts
Of you
Of her
Her looks
Her
Joking on her flaws she hated

As time changed, she changed

The way she dressed
The way she laughed
The way she walked
The way she carried herself
However, it all was for the good
She was better
To others
But what really matters
She was better to herself
Her flaws were better

As time changed, she didn't have to

No more searching
She is her
Her flaws are her
A part of her,
Without them
It wouldn't make her

She is not perfect
She doesn't have the perfect eyes
She doesn't have the perfect head
She doesn't have the perfect lips
She doesn't have the perfect neck
She doesn't have the perfect breast
She doesn't have the perfect stomach
She doesn't have the perfect hips
She doesn't have the perfect thighs
But she do have a perfect love to love all her
Flaws and all

They are her

She has grown
In mind and size
Thoughts come here and there
But you know what , it's okay
Like the song say, " I woke up like this, flawless"
No makeup
Bare
Her
Herself
Just flawless

Let no man or woman change your feelings about "your"self because it's your "self"esteem
The judgements of man doesn't matter
Which her young mind didn't realize
She changed, for the wrong reason, but it was okay
She built her
Her look on herself
Her "flaws"
Everything in her life happened for a reason
Not only did she find her true self
Confidence grew in her
In her

I am her
I am flawless
I am me
My now flawless self
