Her Tears

Like stars discharged from glistening skies,

They fell upon Her burning cheek,

And, settling not, resumed their course,

As waters of a shining creek.

They carried with them pain of Sorrow,

Whose burden weighed them down with woe,

As if swords gushed Him from Her Heart.

They did not stop their steady flow,

But pressed onward, as did Her Love

Which they, Her perfect gems, reflected.

They trickled down Her suffering face.

Her Anguish, none but they detected.

They numbered seven from both eyes,

Fourteen rivers that steadily run.

Their path continues for us all,

Her Love for each and every one.
