Her Voice is Known

Once a child frail as glass,

panic ridden as she enters class.

Mouth bound shut

for fear of what?

Not even she could grasp

the terror she felt in the past.

But now through valor and struggle,

she refuses to muffle or mumble.

She will light the spark that turns to flame,

till all the world can hear her name.
