Here and Alive

Wed, 07/18/2018 - 17:06 -- leonamc

I am here, I am alive

These words I chant in my head,

A mantra, a banner,

As I lay down to bed.

I am here, I swear,

I am not the ghost I appear,

I am alive I say,

And I don't want to fade away.

I slay my monsterous demon,

And raise my sword every day,

And with its persuasion,

It is hard to keep it at bay.

My monster is depression,

It likes drowning me,

I pray for remission,

But I fight it to be:

Here

and

Alive.

Believing these is the key.
