Here I Stand

Here I stand.

Only to be moved by a sturdy hand.

A force, a revolution.

Making us change, evolution.

Here I stand with others.

Against the words and hatred of our brothers.

Together we will show them our power,

Because at last it is our hour.

On that field we paint our pictures,

Showing our lives with musical scriptures.

At the end of it all, they cheer.

Oh how great it is to hear!

For we have started and now it is done

And today is won.

For now we will look on

waiting for a new challenge to come.

whether it's planned or unplanned,

This is who I am, and this is where I'll stand.
