Here My Cries
Can you hear my cries?
I am trying so hard to come
out of this shell of mine,
but I can't because I am afraid
of what you and the world may think of n
I am trapped inside of this shell
by bigotry hypocrisy and ignorance.
For it is they who taunt me and
ridicule me with their mean antics
of who I am and who they think I
should be.
When I can break loose, face, and
confront bigotry, hypocrisy and
ignorance, on which most of the world
seem to side and be friends with, then
and only then will I be able to come out
of my shell.
