Here Rises The Sun

One beam, shining through the cracks of the blinds.
The warmth beaming down my face, hearing the pitter patter of my sister getting dressed for school.

Feeling the cold air ripple through my bare skin as I stand.

Energized to take on responsibilities of the day.
To say “ hey how are you doing? “ to my friends, the only beings that keep me alive throughout the day.

From the crinkle that forms above their noses to their unique laughter that comes out like a sweet honey like melody to my ears.

Awaiting for the hour that I can feel the sweat drip and streak across my face and smelling the scent of lingering salt in my body, as i finish the workouts very steadily.

Seeing the joy appear across the face of my tutee smiling a smile that is brighter than the lights of New York city, when she sees that she's improving with her studies.

Tis why as I awake to greet the next day, all of these feelings and things, make me ecstatic and motivated to see, that here rises the sun once again.
