Here We Are/Here I Am

There is nothing worse than betrayal Because it comes not from your enemies But from your friends Cliche I know Yet you are betraying me, Dear friend I know I said it was okay But that was before the pain really hit And I know I never said anything after That was because I trusted you I trusted you not to take that step The step that makes me want to hate you With a fiery, burning passion That makes me feel guilty For feeling that way And yet here we are You betraying me Me crying for hours every night You don't know that though So here I am Being betrayed Feeling lost, hurt, and alone Here I am, wanting what you are taking from me Here I am, guilty for feeling betrayed Here I am, hoping I can die Here I am, wishing none of this had ever happened Here I am, losing you And in the process, losing me
