Here We Go Again

I thought I was free

From these stupid emotions

But for some reason I can't be

The waves pull me back into the ocean

Again and again I fight to be freed

but somehow I slip back to where I began

To where these emotions love to feed

There's no way to stop them, not one solid plan

I always believe I've actually escaped

Then reality shakesme like an ink-dry pen

Leaving me with an ego that is bruised and scraped

And I sigh and say "here we go again"
