Here's To...

Here's to the countless number of tears I've cried. To those sleepless nights waiting for dawn. To those times my heart has been broken, Only to be put back together again. Here’s to the moments, good and bad That I’ll never forget. Here’s to the late nights and early days That I’ll never regret. Here’s to falling out of love But always finding my way back. Here’s to the pointless fights That only made us stronger. Here’s to the lectures from my parents Forever making me wiser. Here’s to the mistakes, the choices That we wish we could erase. To all the times I left, But it was you, I had to chase Here’s to his laugh and his smile For I will not see them for a while. I wouldn’t change a single day, But I do wish I could make him stay. The morning he left, I felt as though he wasn’t close enough; And though I was crying, I tried to act tough.
