Here's A Nice Poem By Some Punny Guy

Puns are nice but I need a living so I can get all life is giving.

I don’t drive and cannot afford a chaeuffeur.

Each job I’ve tried just turns and kicks me.

I’m broke and need someone to, “fix” me.

If I could bake some bread I’d be a, “loafer.”

I need a job, I’m blue you see,

(that color skin looks weird on me).

To have one would make all my problems go.

A baker’s one job I’d not dread

because I sure could use the, “bread.”

Right now I’m stuck at home just, “kneading-dough.”

All horses are majestic creatures

who have a lot of pretty features.

They’re loyal and will seldom want to stray.

If one ran off you’d get remorse

from calling it.  You would get, “horse.”
They won’t say, “yes” to anything, just, “Naaaay!”

Cats are affectionate when purring.

To share their love, they are conferring.

It’s bad when they get stuck up in a tree.

Invite one in to share your dinner.

They’ll think that is a, “purrrrrrr-fect winner.
To them, dogs are a shear, “cat-
tastrophy.

All dogs are nice when treated sweetly.

They’ll do some tricks when they’re trained neatly

so love them and they’ll never run right on.

With their love, you can’t get enough

and they can make our lives less, “Ruff!”
Don’t let them run away.  You’ll say, “Dog-gone!”

A frog can stay in land or water

Though, “Knee-deep!” is where they would aught ‘er.
They’re often proud but seldom they will gloat.

They brighten lives in many ways

and always give us, “hoppy” days.

The sick ones have a person  in their throat.

Though writing puns does make me happy,

(it helps my days to be more snappy),

I’d rather be a cleaner, chef or nurse.

Since I’ve been doing right much sleeping

My days are all just slowly creeping

But as you see, I’ve gone from, “bed-to-verse."
