A HERITAGE IN THE SKY

A Heritage In The Sky.....

In days of yore

And in times before,

My God

Had already predestined for me,

To be a man of the cloth

Not unlike

My forebears who wore,

Distinctive collars of white,

However;

his plans for me

‘Twas to be of a different theme,

For I was to be found however,

Out and about

In the missionary fields of life,

From Kazakhstan and beyond,

In dealings with hopelessness

Where futures bleak

‘Twas of common place,

Until a different message spoke

Showed there was another way,

I know my submissions there

In the valleys

Of hurt and shame,

Will always strengthen me

For under his banner be

A disciple of the cross,

To lead the downtrodden in victory;

In raising up personal hopes,

That indeed

There is always another way,

For in their new-found God

Love,

Hope,

Righteousness,

And to reclaiming a personal peace

And a heritage in the sky.
