Hermes, the people's champion

Hermes, the people's champion

Apart from being a patron of poetry himself,

the young god, with many trophies on his shelf.

evey time he ran, he brought a jolt,

among the track. Faster than the former champ Usain Bolt.

the son of the great Zues and Maia, a nymph

the god had his father's greatness flowing in his lymph.

An instagram star he was, gaining a great following

over 100 million follwers, he got for his winnings

Not only was he fast, he was an excellent rapper,

using poetry and then reciting them with such dapper.

He showcased his speed, while showing his talent.

But also showed his father's charisma, a man very gallant.

He may be a god, but he had his flaws.

as he could never get enough of people's applause.
