A hero

My father may die While in the war to keep us free Many may not see How important this is to me Alone in the cold While the sun sleeps Surrounded by the desert With the bearing heat Messages are sent To loved ones near and dear While the families at home Send letters full with sincere While days go on Long and full of tiresome jobs Calls come from far away While their families can't wait To hear them speak Makes me weak in the knees For time is almost near To again be rejoined by him When I see his face My eyes start to tear For we hope, he will never again leave us here, without him is surrounds us all with undenying fear.
